Celebration Tea

I hosted the ABC Netball team for a celebration tea.  They won an inter-college tournament and I was so proud of them.  We had a great afternoon together and I will miss being with them this coming school year.  I have decided to give netball coaching a break this year since we are planning our furlough and because I need to be at home with my precious bundles.

Wedding Bells

Brian performed his second wedding ceremony here in Malawi.  John is Malawian and Laura is originally from the UK.  They attend our church and are a great couple.  They had a traditional wedding here in Lilongwe and then a traditional British one for her family in the UK too.

The flower girls were so cute and came in dancing the African way.

Seniors almost done

Yet another year of students have almost completed their Homiletics Course with Brian.  We celebrated with them in our home over tea, coffee and treats.  It was a good time and they expressed their appreciation for all they have learned.

Kamuzu Day

Kamuzu Day means no school!  The kids had a blast with their water slide. Gotta love our African Autumn...

I love Brad's face in this picture.

Allison was the hose sprayer and loved zapping whoever she could.

Baptism

Three people in our church were baptized today.  What a great testimony of the Lord's faithfulness in their lives.  Two Malawians and one South African.  We do trust that God would continue to use His Word to draw the unsaved to Himself and that those who know Him would have a greater understanding of their need for obedience and a complete surrender to the TRUTH.
Tracy (R) is from South Africa and Roberta is from the US.
 Bethany is Malawian.
Tracy is from SA.

Painting Picasso

We decided to bring out the paint and paper today and create pictures for fun

Allison has that modern art flare :)

Two lions, a camel and a landscape scene are now beautifully displayed on our fridge

Big Ben is 5

Ben wanted a boat cake.
Benjamin and the boys. His sisters had their own table.
Hotdogs were on the menu.
Benja as always, very eager.

Playing with silly string.

Opening his gifts.
Trying to instill some of their Dutch culture in them ;0) We introduced sjoelbak at the party.  We borrowed the game from our Dutch friends who attend our church.  I grew up playing this game and it was so fun to see my kids getting the knack of it.
