Kids' Zone

These three bundles have been couch bound these past couple of days, maybe even weeks, because I haven't been up to do anything else, but lying around like a potato myself. I don't remember feeling this morning-day-night nausea in my other pregnancies. Ami told me the other day, "Mom, we're not to complain!" Well I know that, I just didn't feel like hearing it...

We don't have any TV stations, so they have watched movies over and over again and are reciting some now- that's just so bad. What's a mother to do...

We can squeeze in one more on Opa's couch.

Hey Anita! I am so sorry you aren't feeling very good :( I can't IMAGINE trying to take care of kids and feel how I felt the first three months (which you are probably feeling even worse than I was if this is more sick than the first three)!!! I'll be praying for you...and that the kids will find entertaining things to do until you feel better :)

Hi! I am a stranger to you, but was the secretary for GMI for a while, so I know Brian, and he knows my dad (Dave Light) pretty well from ECHO. Anyway, my mom sent me over to your blog, and I wanted to offer any help that I can give. I had hyperemesis gravidarum with my two last pregnancies (the most recent is now my 4 week old baby, yay).

I have tons of advice about dealing with the sickness yourself, ranging from spiritual to medical, and a little about the kids (one that worked for me was to pop them in the shower or tub and let them play to their hearts content while I laid on the bathroom floor in complete misery - that gave me close to an hour a few times), and have a burden to help any woman that wants help! :)

Feel free to email me at hobbsandbean AT gmail DOT com any time. I will be praying for you!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are suffering from such bad nausea. Shame. I can't even picture how to do it with other children in the house - I remember getting through it by staying in bed and not moving an inch....Sounds like you are doing the best you can under the circumstances. We'll be praying for you that it goes away soon, and that the kids will be understanding.
Love, Jen

OH Anita, I am sorry to hear about your condition. I will be praying for you!

Don't worry, I don't think there will be any permanent damage to the kids watching all those movies.

all the extra movies/tv watching for a few weeks won't do long-term damage. =) I think with more kids, it's normal for the morning sickness to be worse --less time to rest/sleep. hope it all passes for you sooner than later! the 2nd time around for me I was actually vomiting every other day and it lasted until 16 weeks! first time around it was just nausea but no vomiting.
