I really miss my family. I miss my dad and mom! I miss Martin and Linda too. It's sometimes so hard to be away from them, but it's also a reminder to me that God is in control and He has placed each of us where He has us, for His purposes and glory. 
These pictures were taken in South Africa(Feb 2008) when we had a SURPRISE visit from my sister, Linda and her children from the UK. Her husband, Grant was unable to join them because of work obligations.

I have also learned that I need to be thankful for luxuries like email and skype. I need to let loved ones know how much they mean to me AND I need to pray for them. Eventhough, it was especially difficult this week to be away from the laughs, the hugs and the closeness of family. I am glad that God has made me aware of how grateful I need to be to Him for the blessing of my precious family. Lord willing, we shall each other soon.

I too have been homesick for my family lately. We didn't make the trip to Colorado this year. Wow! Didn't know I could get so homesick still! :) Anyway, just wanted to say I know how you feel. You all are in our prayers. We pick 1 missionary family we know to pray for each month and ya'll are it for this month. I am enjoying getting to know you a little more through this blog. Thanks for the updates! We are praising God for your new home and ministry opportunities.

oh anita, yes i understand completely!!! Especially when you have a great family like you and i have, it is hard to miss them, but also special to realise how blessed we are with them!
