Thankful

This is Anita-
Wow there is SO much to be thankful for!
I thank God that He drew me to Himself and by His grace has saved me and that no matter what happens in this life, I have hope of eternity with Christ. I also know that all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. His ways are perfect. He is in complete control. He is faithful to His promises. His love endures forever. His grace is sufficient.

I remember Rachel saying, while we were in Malawi, "Nothing surprises God."

"Blessed be the Lord because He has heard the voice of my supplication. The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him." Psalm 28:6-7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6-7

We are still waiting for test results. Thankful to you for your prayers on our behalf.

Dear Anita! How wonderful to hear from you. Eventhough it is not your actual voice, but just knowing you feel well enough to type this message is great! Hennie and I have been feeling so spiritually blessed lately almost as if we understand certain TRUTHS better. We have been talking about God's attributes and how important they are in understanding aspects of the Bible. I quoted also the following in our Bulletin from A.W. Tozer's The Knowledge of the Holy: "God knows instantly and effortlessly all matter and all matters, all mind and every mind, all spirit and all spirits, all being and every being, all creaturehood and all creatures, every plurality and all pluralities, all law and every law, all relations, all causes, all thoughts, all mysteries, all enigmas, all feeling, all desires, every unuttered secret, all thrones and dominions, all personalities, all things visible and invisible in heaven and in earth, motion, space, time, life, death, good, evil, heaven and hell. Because God knows all things perfectly. He knows no thing better than any other thing, but all things equally well. He never discovers anything. He is never surprised. God is self-existent and self-contained and knows what no creature can ever know - Himself, perfectly.

I know this is very long but thought of it when you mentioned that God is never surprised.

Love you lots, and miss you! Thanks for being such a great example to us all.
